The Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 is a smart contact sensor that detects the opening and closing of doors, windows and other moving objects. It supports Matter natively and is built on the Thread protocol, providing robust, low-latency, mesh-capable communication. Through a Matter-compatible Thread Border Router it connects directly to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Aqara Home, and automations can run entirely on your local network. When the sensor is triggered you get a real-time alert on your smartphone wherever you are. It is powered by a CR123A battery for infrequent battery changes. Installation is easy with the strong sticker, and an alternative thin magnet plate is included for flexibility. The main unit measures 77 × 22 × 22 mm and operates from -10 to 50 °C. Please note: a Matter-compatible Thread Border Router is required to use the sensor.
